You will be able to find quite a number of museums in Sevilla. Some of them are recognized nationally and internationally, so obviously they are worth visiting.
Archaeological Museum
Where: Plaza de America
This museum hosts and extensive collection of various Visigoth, Roman, Moorish and Christian artefacts, some of which date back to Palaeolithic times. One of the most important objects in the museum is Carambolo Treasure which includes twenty one peaces of gold jewellery dating back to 650.
Museum of Popular Art and Customs
Where: Plaza de America
Even the building in which the museum is located is interesting itself. It is a Mudejar-style building dating back to 1929. The museum has a collection of various ethnographic artefacts from the 17th to 20th centuries. The collection includes Andalucian musical instruments, dwellings, furniture, clothes and most importantly, the extensive collection of ceramics.
Museum of Fine Arts
Where: Plaza del Museo, 9
This museum is considered as the best fine arts gallery in Spain, after the Prado in Madrid. It exhibits the greatest Spanish paintings form the 15th to 20th centuries. The collection includes works of such well known artists as Murillo, Ribera, El Greco, Zurbarn or Valds Leal.
Museum of Contemporary Arts
Santo Toms, 5
The paintings, sculptures and ceramics of contemporary Andalucian artist from 20th century can be found in this museum. The artworks of Goya, Murillo, Pedro de Campaa and Luis de Vargas are exhibited there.
Bullfighting Museum

As you can guess from the name, this museum is all about the bullfighting, its origin and its history. Considering the importance of bullfighting in Sevilla, the museum should be in your list of ‘places to visit’.
