3051320433 01fbd700c3 Snack 55 CubalitrosSnack 55, also known as “The Cubalirto-Bar”, or “Cubalitros”, is a bar around 5 minutes away from the metro stations Tetuan (L2 purple line) and Girona (L4 yellow line), located on Passeig de Sant Joan 55.

As a lot of bars in Barcelona, Snack  has a small entrance and if it is not  a Friday or a Saturday,  it is possible that you pass the entrance without noticing it. On weekends, on the other side, you won´t even find a free seat near the bar to sit down. Even though, you can hang around the bar, sit outside (which is not that advisable in the winter), or, if  lucky, snatch a table with chairs at the back, away from the every-minute-cubalitros-buying crowd. There it is also possible to watch a football game, or play table football.

But  what the bar is most known for, are their Cubalitros. For 4,- Euros you can buy 1 liter of  rum with cola, vodka with fanta, etc.. All in all, they offer more or less 5 different Cubalitros. As you can expect,  for 4 Euros you won´t be getting the best rum, so they have the same offer with popular brands for 8 Euros. Another special is the 1 meter chupitos line. Ordering this one, you will get 1 meter =15 shots for 12 Euros. Not a bad deal, considering that a chupito usually costs around 2 Euros.

Hungry people can try different plates on moderate prices too.

Drink responsible. Cheers!

4174799357 c58f8d8630 RazzmatazzBarcelona is known for its late nights and crazy night life. Razzmatazz is a huge club located in the industiral part of Poble Nou. What looks like an old factory building is actuallly a nightclub with several floors. The club has five different rooms, with music of all different taste.

There is an indie rock room, two techno rooms, a pop room, and a chill out space with electro and disco acts, as well as a rooftop to socialize. Razamatazz is also a popular concert venue, so there is usually a live band playing. Razzmatazz is one of Barcelona’s most important alternative music venues, so if you are a music lover, it is a must. And if you want a break, you can head to another area of the club. After all it is five clubs in one. The cost is usually around 15 euros, which incluces a drink, since there is usually a band playing, and the ticket will usually get you into all 5 rooms. There are many bars around the club so it is not difficult to get a drink. It is around a 5 minute cab ride from the city center, and close to the metro line Bogatell or Marina on C/ Almogavers 122. For a serious night late out, this is the place to go. For more information check out their website, as they have a list of concerts.

spaceball Going Out in Barcelona!spaceball Going Out in Barcelona!101816803 da3a5b7d88 Going Out in Barcelona!Going out in Barcelona is an unforgettable and exciting experience. But the hardest part of nightlife here is choosing where to go. Therefore I have listed some places to go out, for different people with different styles!

Clubs

Barcelona has a wide range of good clubs, offering many different music styles. To enter the clubs you will have to pay a certain amount and probably have to stand in a queue first, but this is the same everywhere in the world, I think. Most clubs don’t have a dress code but do require you to dress with a “smart casual attire”  :) . Here are some of the most well-known clubs in Barcelona:

Shôko: This is an Asian style restaurant/club facing the beach where they play everything from house to hip-hop music, have a good cocktails offer and international atmosphere

You can subscribe to the guestlist of Shôko and enter for free through this website

Otto Zutz: A club with three floors, on the first floor you can enjoy hip hop-music, on the second floor house flourishes combined with techno and on the third floor you can listen to mixed music, focusing on the 80′s.

Opium: Close to Shôko you will find Opium Mar. A lounge club with one of the biggest terraces along side of Barceloneta’s beach. Most of the time they will play R&B, lounge and house music.

Catwalk: Catwalk is one of the most vistited and fashionable clubs in Barcelona! There is a perfect combination of locals and tourists. Also situated at Barceloneta’s beach it offers R&B, hip-hop, house and dance.

Districts

Port Olimpic: In Port Olimpic, a bit further than Shôko, Catwalk and Opium Mar there is a street with many bars. The bars are perfect for people who don’t like to pay too much in clubs but still like to dance.

La Rambla: La Rambla is the place where you will find most tourists in Barcelona, so as in all cities, you will find a lot of Irish pubs and international bars where you can have a drink ;)

El Raval: El Raval is the place to be if you want a cheap night out, there are many cheap restaurants where you can sometimes have a three course dinner for less than 10€. Beside them you can find many authentic bars that really represent Barcelona. One example is Bar La Marsella, one of the oldest bars in Barcelona and known for its Absynthe! Another example is La Oveja Negra, known for its great Sangria and Beers.

Barri Gotic: In Barri Gotic there are many small and cozy bars where students can have a drink and nice tapas. Two nice bars are Bar El Agüelo (C/ d’Avinyó) and Bar Can Pumuki. El Aguëlo has a wooden interior with barrels and “Jamones” hanging from the sealing. Many students can get together there, especially after exams! Can Pumuki is special for their cocktails, you can order a cocktail in a big glass and drink from it with different people from different straws, it is really cosy!
Also in Barri Gotic you can find Bar Mariatchi, this is a bar, according to the legend going around, owned by the famous singer Manu Chao.

El Born: On the other side of Via Laietana, you will find el Born. Another district with many bars, some of the most known are, Rosa Negra (a mexican Cocktail Bar), Suborn and the Cactus Bar.

60803198 22f30e65f9 A night out in Barcelona! The perfect nights are the ones that you never really know where they’ll end. You can go out without any plan and have the best night ever!

So one friday evening we went out to have a couple of beers with some friends of my boyfriend. They were visiting Barcelona for a few days and were really excited to make the most of their stay. We started the night at a bar in Barrio Gotico, had some beers, some nachos and enjoyed the great music! After the beers we felt for some sweeter drinks and headed to the Paseo de Colom at the seafront. There is a bar called Chupitos (=shots), which is both tiny and really crowded! The fun thing is to have the shots together with a bunch of people, so our group of seven were just perfect! We had shots like “Harry Potter” and “Acid”… they taste like sugar, but the good thing is that they’re really cheap! Details
