Medium term rentals – 1 to 11 months

Students have the option of renting college dorms but many prefer to find their own accommodation as campus accommodation can be strict on rules such as noise and having friends over. Long term rentals – more than 12 months
If you are renting an apartment for one than one year your landlord will more than likely ask for a proof of your work contract or proof of your student status. You will also be asked for a deposit that will usually vary from the amount of one month´s rent to three months´ rent depending on the apartment and the landlord. It is possible to rent apartments through private landlords if you are renting for more than one year but again caution is advised. If something in the apartment is broken and needs repair, landlords may not act as quickly as you would like to rectify the issue. However, if you are dealing with a company they will be more eager to help you as they have their professional reputation at stake.
